For 10 years both Red Kitchen and Nourish Magazine have been sharing our love of food with you.  So join Megan and Vicki in this small class at Kitchen HQ in Te Awamutu as they share some of their favourite recipes from the past decade.  Then sit down and enjoy a fabulous meal, a glass of wine and a few laughs.

Brilliant Brunch

Enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning in my kitchen learning to master those dishes you enjoy at the local café.  We’ll start with a quick smoothie, break out the burcher before we make fluffly buttermilk Pancakes.  Then we hash it out and poach some eggs, top them with a quick hollandaise for a gluten free eggs bene.
And if time we’ll squeeze in a few corn fritters with avocado salsa.

Mid-Week Magic

Looking for a little inspiration for the family meals that doesn’t come delivered in a box?  I will share a couple of super quick mid-week meals which the whole family will love.

Spring Entertaining

Tis nearly the season, the season of parties and BBQs.  Join me while I create a lovely lunch of exquisite dishes you will be proud to recreate for your next party.  We’ll tart up some asparagus, slow cook a leg of lamb, prepare some stunning salads and treat ourselves to a couple of desserts.

Training your Teenager 

This series of classes are designed to give your teenager some foundation recipes and skills to go off in the world and not have to rely on takeaways or care packages to survive. They would also suit any novice cook wanting to get a good foundation of recipes.
Not suitable for vegetarian or gluten free.

Don’t be an Egg 

If you’ve got eggs in the kitchen you have a meal.  We’ll learn to boil, scramble and poach em.  We’ll discover how to turn them into aioli, hollandaise and what to do with these – from eggs bene to Caesar salad.  We’ll finish by mastering the art of making custard from scratch

Budget Busters 

Learn to make great meals that don’t break the budget.  We’ll learn to make a risotto and how you can tweak this to make a different dish each week.
We’ll master a white sauce and see how this can be transformed into anything from mac n cheese to a chicken and leek pie.
And we’ll sneak in a bit of baking.

Mastering a Roast 

We roast the perfect chook and prepare all the trimmings including spuds, veg and real gravy.  We’ll even whip up a pud!

More than Mince on Toast 

Mince is versatile and cheap.  Discover the world of possibilities from  burgers to meatballs, San choy bau and more
