Private classes start from $95pp

Recipe Club

Nourish Recipe Club is a practical extension of what we have been doing for the last 16 years – sharing delicious recipes and seasonal inspiration.

These are a great excuse to meet up with friends you have been meaning to  catch up with, learn something new and enjoy a great meal.

Perhaps you have a teenager in the house that needs to learn a few more skills in the kitchen, but you just never have the time.  Bring them along and enjoy some time together.

Split into two different forms, our weeknight and our weekend sessions.

Weeknight sessions are designed to give you a great main meal recipe I know you and your family will love.  Add to this are some sides or vegie dishes and of course a pud.

Our Weekend sessions are themed, and we delve deeper into more complicated dishes or skills.

What’s included?
An interactive, fun demo with plenty of time to ask questions.  Full recipes and tips.  Plus dinner or lunch.

Max 14 per class

Cost $45pp

Book for 3 or more at once and get our Nourish Cookbook (vol 2) for FREE.

Weekend Sessions

Lasagne Masterclass – Sunday31 may

Join me in making the most epic Lasagne, a dish that will become a family favourite.  We will perfect the key components, the ragu and bechamel.  I will pass my little tips and tricks, the key to an awesome lasagna.

To complete the meal, we have to finish with a traditional Tiramisu with mascarpone sabayon.

Pizza Party – 14 June

Saturday nights are Pizza night in the Horan household.  I had longed dreamed of having a pizza oven until I switched track and started making a Roman style pizza vs the thin based Traditional Neapolitan version.  This is a game changer, especially if you are cooking them in a conventional oven.

We will make the focaccia style base & easy tomato sauce.  Then we’ll have some fun with various toppings.

To finish we will enjoy a light panna cotta, a dessert perfect when entertaining as you can make it ahead of time.

Bring on Brunch – 28 June

Weekend rituals are big in our family.  Pre child it involved brunch at a local café reading the Sunday paper.  Now it’s pancakes on a Sunday morning at home.

In this class we will perfect my easy to make pancakes – no pre mixes needed and something the kids can learn to do.

I’ll share my burcher museli recipe.  This is slightly healthier than the one my Swiss Grandmother use to make and much more healthy than the version the chefs use to make in the hotel I worked at in Scotland!

We’ll then move on to the classic Kiwi Brunch dish – Eggs Bene.  We will perfect poaching eggs, learn to make a hollandaise (which can also be made into a Bearnaise for you Steak).  And instead of an English muffin we’ll make Rostis, another versatile dish to have up your sleeve.

Weeknight Sessions

Wed, 27th May

Parmesan Chicken Schnitzel with an apple and fennel slaw.  Follow my tips to make two chicken breasts feed a family of 4-5.  We’ll talk crumbs, seasoning and how to cook the perfect schnitzel.  Then it’s on to the slaw, the perfect economical salad for the winter months that doesn’t have to be boring!
Sicilian Apple Cake – this is a favourite recipe from my café days.  Delicious as a dessert or with a cuppa.  And, as it’s more apple than cake it surely counts towards your 5 + a day.

Wed, 10th June

Pork and peanut patties with vermicelli salad and chilli, lime dressing.  Carrot salad.
Meatballs are great but who has time on a Wed night to be rolling balls.  My pork and peanut patties are quick and easy and pack a punch.  Served with a gorgeous vermicelli salad using limes that are abundant right now this is a dish you will want leftover of for your lunch.
Rice pudding with poached Tamarillo.  Then for pud I share my mother’s rice pudding and how to poach fruit.

Wed, 24th June

Teriyaki Chicken with the perfect rice.  Cucumber Salad.  Stir fried sesame broccoli.
This dish is on high rotation in my household as it’s cheaper and often quicker than a takeaway.
We’ll finish with Chocolate & pear pudding – a great combo and a pudding you can keep simple or tart up to impress.
