Vicki Ravlich-Horan – Tour Host
The owner and editor of Nourish Magazine, Vicki has two passions – food and travel. So, wherever she can combine the two she does. Having studied Classical studies (Greek and Roman history) at university the Mediterranean was high on Vicki’s must visit list as a backpacker. Much to Rosario’s dismay she never made it to Sicily! But great things take time and not only did she spend over three amazing weeks there in 2023 she bought with her a bunch of Kiwi travellers, and she can’t wait to go back in 2024.
“Food has a great way of telling a story” says Vicki “and when you travel and eat like the locals you discover more than a new taste, you learn about the history and culture and gain a wider understanding of where you are standing. Sicily is a place that excites me because of the melding of the many cultures that have played a part in its long history and on this tour we will truly taste this.”
Rosario Pirrone – Our Expert Local Guide
Rosario and Vicki met over twenty years ago working in a restaurant in Notting Hill, London. Rosario was student of film and television Vicki on her OE. Fast forward a few decades and they have come together to create the ultimate foodies tour of Sicily.
Rosario moved back to his home town of Palermo 12 years ago to start the business Personal Guide Sicily.
