I was inspired to make these after reading the Whittakers Chocolate Cookbook.  I am a fan of their chocolate and hardly every buy any other brand, whether it be for eating or cooking.  But I had never tried their orange flavoured chocolate.  The book has some great ideas to use other flavoured chocolate in truffles etc which got me thinking it would be great to use in chocolate chip cookies.

So this is basically my regular chocolate chip cookie recipe with some added cocoa and Whittaker Orange Chocolate instead of chocolate chips.  The result was fantastic!  And I can highly recommend a cookie 1/2 an hour out of the oven when the chocolate is still soft and melted.

100g soft butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tspn vanilla extract
1 egg
1&1/2 cups self raising flour
1/4 cup cocoa
150g Whittakers Orange Chocolate, chopped

Cream the butter and sugar together before mixing in the egg and vanilla.  When the egg is beaten in fold in the flour and chocolate.
Roll tablespoon fulls into balls and flatten with a fork onto a greased oven tray.  Bake at 180C for 10-12 minutes.
