Make the most of them and enjoy a fun day out picking your own at Blueberry Country (in Ngatea and Ohaupo) Stock up the freezer for blueberry muffins, pies, smoothies and more all year round.
Brilliant Blueberry Smoothie
½ cup blueberries (frozen are best)
1 tbsp Chia seeds
1 tbsp rolled oats
½ cup of reduced fat yoghurt (I use Piako yoghurt. You could use Quark or an unsweetened yoghurt you may just have to add a bit of honey or Agave or Yacon syrup to sweeten it depending on your taste)
1 tbsp LSA
Soak the oats and chia seeds in ½ cup water for half an hour or better still overnight in the fridge.
Add this and all the remaining ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy.
